April Lockhart

April Lockhart born 4 July 1995. She began with guitar and piano in the 7th grade, which ignited the interest of her. When she was in seventh grade she began to take guitar and piano lessons. The lessons sparked her passion in songwriting. When April was 14 years old, she dedicated long hours developing song ideas as well as perfecting the song. After that, she started taking trips to write with father, who lived in NY in New York and LA. April added other themes to the song "Take My Hand" for a few of her the friends she had who struggled with issues such as peer pressurization issues, or even teenage suicide. Lockhart has her own following and also works as a lifestyle blogger at the popular Ilia Clean Beauty brand. Born without a left hand, the woman is a major part of herself. But it's not her entire story. Lockhart's Instagram page doesn't overlook the fact that she has a disability. But it also doesn't emphasize her disability. What message is it sending? It is important to remember that each of us has numerous faces. Our identities vary and we're beyond our body. I do not want this to be the only thing that defines me. I don't wish to become a disability influencer in which I only speak about since there are many different elements to me Lockhart says via video from her home in Nashville. My daily life isn't directly affected by disability. I live my normal day-to-day life and discover my own solutions to issues. The same is true for my life, and I think it's something that needs to be addressed. Lockhart encourages us to keep going with self-acceptance. She admits that she has been through times when she was uncomfortable dressing in certain styles that showed her arms. She wears what she likes and proudly posts pictures of herself in the outfits she picks out on social platforms. She says that self-love is a process. I'm not sure if you'll ever reach the point of no return. But I think that's with everyone with whatever the source of their anxiety. I think it is important to surround yourself with individuals who truly see the person you are.
