Jenna Fischer was best known for her portrayal of Pam Beesly (the character of The Office) on TV. This role brought her an Emmy nomination for Most Outstanding Supporting Actress category. In addition, she won two SAG Awards, both for extraordinary performances on an ensemble cast in a comedy.
The girl was born in Fort Wayne Indiana, she lived her entire childhood in St. Louis Missouri. Jenna was a child who watched her mother, Anne, in church productions. The experience instilled an interest in theater.
Fischer is an actress with theater training. She starred in the Off-Broadway production Reasons to be Happy which was written and directed by Neil LaBute and co-starring Josh Hamilton, Leslie Bibb, and Fred Weller. She then starred in Steve Martin's new production Meteor Shower. It was an absurdist comedic piece opposite Greg Germann and Josh Stamberg and ran for record breaking time at Old Globe Theatre.
The Office co-star Angela Kinsey and Fischer created Office Ladies, a podcast that airs on Earwolf in October 2019. The podcast has been a huge success, reaching in the Top Ten worldwide every week as well as receiving over 200 million downloads in its initial two years. Office Ladies received the iHeart Radio Podcast of the Year award in January 2021.
She's written two books, The Actor's Life A Survival Guide where she outlines her experience in Hollywood acting as a professional, and Office BFF's, Tales of The Office From Two Great Friends who Were There, a memoir of the best friendship they had and their time watching The Office.
